I had just spoken to the parents at New Hope Opportunities School on Proverbs 3:5-6 before we left for the airport to return home from Honduras. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding but in all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will set your paths straight.” And then we began our crazy two-day journey home after several debauched flights. I thought…really God? Do I need to learn this lesson, again? I guess I’m a slow learner.
Being flexible and holding plans loosely is key when traveling to and from third world countries. I am SO grateful to Rev. Aleida Jernigan who pinch hit for me when I was not able to be back in time to preach and lead worship on Sunday morning. It is so nice to have partners in ministry like Aleida and others who cover for me while I am gone. Thank you!!!
All said, it is so wonderful to get back into my rhythm of life and ministry together. But forget about catching our breaths…Cascades Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. It should be incredible! We still need help, so talk with Heather Hartrim-Lowe about finding your place.
